aboutus

Get to know us. Take some time to read about our core beliefs and our statement of faith that defines who we are as a body of believers.

Our Purpose

It is our heart to see lives
transformed through the love and power of Jesus Christ.

We believe that church is more than a place we go. It’s the family we find when we connect to Jesus and each other.

The Tabernacle was established in 1952 as an independent Pentecostal work where people of all faiths could come together. The church is based on the full gospel. This simply means that we believe in all that is written in the Holy Bible. The Tabernacle was launched and still functions the same today.

Our mission is to advance the Kingdom fo God through personal growth (Discipleship) and service to others in our communities, love in the form of evangelism and relationships that foster a deeper connection to God, and finally, Jesus is our cornerstone and the purpose for all that we do. Jesus is the focus of our worship and preached through the power of God's word.

LOVE

LOVE is the cornerstone of all we seek to do. We strive to love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind. Our desire is to be a reflection of His grace and compassion to the people we interact with daily. LOVE drives us to help heal those who are broken and restore hope to the hopeless through the power of the cross. LOVE is the foundation for everything we seek to accomplish for the kingdom

JESUS

JESUS! Everything we do is geared to honor and worship our one true savior. In His name we have the power to change our lives, our homes, our community, and our world. We believe that He is the son of God, born of virgin, crucified and buried, rose on the third day, victorious over death, hell, and the grave. JESUS is our everything and worthy of all our praise!

OUR BELIEFS

  • We believe that the Holy Bible is the infallible word of God with all scripture given by the inspiration of God. (2 Timothy 3:16,  2nd Peter 1:20-21, Hebrews 4:12)

  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28;19, Luke 1:35)

  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his miracles, in his atoning death through the shedding of his blood, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in his return to earth in power and glory. (John 1:14, 1st Timothy 3:16, 1st Timothy 2:5, Philippians 2:5-11)

  • Christians are people who have invited the Lord Jesus Christ to come and live inside them by His Holy Spirit. They relinquish the authority of their lives over to him thus making Jesus the Lord of their life as well as Savior. They put their trust in what Jesus accomplished for them when He died, was buried, and rose again from the dead (John 1:12; John 14:17, 23; John 15:4; Romans 8:11; Revelation 3:20).

  • We believe in water baptism as a symbolic testimony to others of a spiritual life change. The word of God speaks to being baptized in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 8;12, John 1:32-33)

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the commitment of members to be faithful in attendance, fellowship, unity, tithes and offerings as the church strives to affect our community for Christ. (Matthew 16:18-19, Acts 2:41-47 , Acts 5:11-14, Ephesians 1:22-23)

  • Heaven is the eternal dwelling place for all believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:3, 12, 20, 6:20, 19:21, 25:34; John 17:24; II Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:16; I Peter 1:4).

  • After living one life on earth, the unbelievers will be judged by God and sent to Hell where they will be eternally tormented with the Devil and the Fallen Angels (Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8).
